Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah conducted an early morning tour on Wednesday to inspect development projects in Srinagar. This visit aimed to assess public facilities and the progress of key civic works to enhance urban infrastructure and public services.
The Chief Minister’s Office announced the extensive review via a post on X, detailing that the inspection covered several essential projects crucial to improving the quality of life in the city.
During the tour, Chief Minister Abdullah inspected significant sites, including the proposed bridge at Barbar Shah. This bridge, once completed, will play a vital role in reducing traffic congestion for commuters heading into Shehar-e-Khaas, ensuring smoother transit and enhancing urban mobility.
The Chief Minister also examined the new building of the Maharaj Gunj Urban Primary Health Centre. This upgraded facility combines modern healthcare infrastructure with the rich historical character of the area.
The enhancements at the health centre promise to significantly boost patient care and healthcare delivery in the heart of Shehar-e-Khaas, thereby improving community health services.
Accompanying Chief Minister Abdullah were Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, Ministers, MLAs, CM’s Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani, and several senior officials. Their presence underscores the administration’s commitment to advancing development projects that benefit the public.
