Kulgam, Oct 31: District Police Kulgam celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) on Saturday to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The main function was organised at District Police Lines (DPL), Kulgam, in the presence of DC Kulgam Shahzad Alam (IAS). SSP Kulgam Anayat Ali Chowdhary (IPS) took the salute during a ceremonial march past by contingents of District Executive Police, Armed Police and Home Guards.
The SSP also administered the National Unity Pledge to the participants. Similar pledge-taking ceremonies were held at police establishments across the district.
Run for Unity events were also organised across various zones, witnessing enthusiastic participation by students, youth, local residents and police and civil administration personnel.
